Our School
Walnut Country Preschool is a not-for-profit (501c3) preschool, licensed by the State of California, Department of Social Services License #073404935. Teaching Philosophy
Our programs offer a child-centered, play-based curriculum. This means that we develop lesson plans that leave space for open-ended exploration to suit your child's individual learning style best.

Our preschool operates on a nondiscriminatory basis, providing equal treatment and access to services without regard to race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry. We provide an enriching, supportive, and secure learning environment where the children are exposed to a variety of stimulating experiences.
Goals and Objectives
We know that it is important for your child to approach peer interactions with kindness, compassion, and patience, while honoring diversity and developing a positive self-image. It's quite a lot of work for these kids, don't you think? We aim to provide a learning environment that promotes social, emotional, sensory, cognitive and physical development for each child on their individual learning journey. By supporting children's natural curiosity, our goal is to develop confidence and positive self-esteem, which encourages creative problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Our Teachers
Our highly qualified staff is dedicated to providing a learning environment in which all children feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In addition to our Director, our classes are staffed with a Head Teacher, as well as two additional Classroom Teachers. Our staff is an extension of your family and several of our staff have been with us for many years. In fact, some of our teachers were once parents of our school! In this way we are able to carry on heartfelt traditions and create a wonderful sense of community for your child while they are here.
Board of Directors
As a non-profit corporation, Walnut Country Preschool, Inc., is run by parents of currently attending students. The Board meets monthly with the Director to oversee that the preschool operates properly under state directed guidelines. The Board also supports the Director in carrying out administrative functions. The Board is comprised of the Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Head Room Parent, Fundraising Coordinator, Parent Assist Coordinator, and Purchasing Agent. We value our parent community that shares in our success.
